I’ve never tried the Comforter Bubble Bar before today. That’s crazy right? I don’t know why exactly, I’m just really bad at actually heading into LUSH and picking things up. Although I work in Manchester, I don’t work in the centre so I’m never near an actual shop. Anyway…
This bubble bar is actually one that I handmade myself at the LUSH Arndale Beauty School event. You can’t tell can you…? Ha, here’s how The Comforter should look. Creating those swirls is near impossible I tell you.
Sometimes you just need to shut yourself off from the outside world under a blanket of fruity foam that will put you back in the right frame of mind to face the world. This bar is supersized, so you’ll only need to crumble half a bar under your tap to make enough bubbles for a long, comforting soak. Cassis absolute gives a distinctive blackcurrant fragrance, while bergamot adds an uplifting note.
So The Comforter actually smells incredible. It’s super fruity with the blackcurrant scent and it just gives such a happy vibe. This is a bubble bar so you simply break some off and crumble it under the running water to create bubbles. It says to use half but I only used a bit because I was only wanting a quick bath – didn’t need too many bubbles as you can see below. The bubble bars always give fab results though if you use a good amount.
This bubble bar turns the water a lovely purpley/pink colour and gave off a super strong scent. As I was walking back downstairs after my bath I could still smell it. There is actually a Comforter Shower Cream and that may have to be my next buy. I am totally in love with this LUSH scent. Maybe in the LUSH Christmas sales? Last year I totally forgot and all the best bits quickly disappeared… I’m not missing out on anything this year!
